  • Birthmarks + Vascular +Veins

Birthmarks + Vascular +Veins Used For: Reducing or removing vascular lesions, birthmarks and veins on the body.

Vascular lesions such as birthmarks, rosacea, spider veins, varicose veins, and telangiectasias arise from a wide range of natural and environmental sources including photodamage, genetic makeup, and the natural aging process. Laser or high-energy light based treatments work by targeting the hemoglobin within the target vessel. The energy precisely targets the vessels under the surface of the skin and ablates or shrinks the vessel so it is no longer visible. The laser targets the vessel only and the surrounding tissue remains undamaged.

    Devices:  Spectra, excelV, Halo, Gemini

Results Our providers are able to adjust settings so the treatment may be customized for the individual patient’s needs, delivering the most energy safely to promote the desired effect. More than one treatment may be necessary for best results.

Downtime & Maintenance:  Varies and will be discussed at your consultation but some laser or energy-based procedures offer little or no downtime. More intensive procedures have longer downtimes of 5-7 days. Healing times can vary and depend on several factors, such as treatment, location, size of area treated, device used and individual.

  • Fine Lines + Wrinkles

Fine Lines + Wrinkles Used For: Reducing or removing fine lines and wrinkles on the body.

As your skin ages, skin quality is reduced and it becomes less elastic, causing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. In general, energy-based treatments involve the application of heat (energy) to the skin in order to stimulate healing and collagen. Each laser has a unique way of applying the heat (energy) in order to accomplish this goal. Some systems create tiny holes in the skin, some apply the heat directly to the top of the skin to ablate a fine layer of cells or stimulate collagen, while others deliver energy at the tip of microneedles. Each offer unique benefits, speak to your physician to learn which solution is right for you.

Devices:  Halo, Pearl Fractional, Pearl, Sciton Joule, Infini, Fraxel Duo

Results:  The most interesting thing to note about laser or RF procedures is that you will not only notice immediate improvements, but your body will continue to grow new collagen and you will see continued improvements over months.

Downtime & Maintenance: Varies and will be discussed at your consultation but for many patients treatment comfort will vary depending on procedure, device used and personal tolerances. Some laser or RF procedures offer little or no downtime. More intensive procedures have longer downtimes of 5-7 days. Healing times can vary and depend on several factors, treatment, location, size of area treated, device used and individual.

  • Hair removal

Hair removal Used For: Reducing or removing unwanted hair on the body.

Laser hair removal is a non-surgical, non-invasive method of removing unwanted hair. A laser beam travels through the skin and is attracted to the pigment in the hair. The energy then flows to the hair follicle growth cells to inhibit further hair growth. We have several lasers for hair removal so we can customize the desired outcome and treat different skin colors. In the past patients with darker skin had fewer hair removal options but with our cutting edge lasers we are able to treat more skin tones, reduce treatment times and achieve faster results. In most cases we can remove dark hair from any place on your body.

    Devices:  Advantage, Gemini

Results:  Hair grows in cycles and most patients need at least 3 or more treatments spaced at least 4 to 8 weeks apart for a satisfactory result. At least 10% to 25% reduction in hair growth can be expected with each treatment.

Downtime & Maintenance:  Varies and will be discussed at your consultation but for many patients side effects are usually mild. The skin may appear red similar to a sunburn, but this subsides within 24 to 48 hours. Other side effects, such as blisters, are extremely rare.

  • Moles + Lesions Removal

Used For: Reducing or removing unwanted lesion and moles.

Unsightly moles or lesions on the face are a common problem. Many people want these removed but don’t want a scar as a result.

Devices: The Co2 laser is a device Dr. Peter Jenkin has used since 1987 to remove benign lesions from the face with minimal risk of scarring.

Results:  After healing, most of the time you can barely tell anything was there. There is always a chance there can be discoloration or a scar but these risks are minimal.

Downtime & Maintenance:  After the treatment, which is done with local anesthetic there will be an open spot which can take a week or so to heal. A small bandaid is all that is required.

  • Skin Tightening

Skin Tightening Used For:  Tightening crepey or loose skin and rejuvenating skin elasticity.

We offer non-invasive skin tightening applications to stimulate collagen production, tightening and smoothing facial skin; it is particularly useful for loose skin or wrinkles around the eyes and other delicate areas. After cleansing the area, a gel is applied and a probe is passed over the face or neck in a specific pattern, emitting a low energy radio frequency that creates a relaxing, warming sensation.

Devices:  Sciton, Infini, ThermiTight, ThermiSmooth, Kybella injections

Results:  Noticeable improvement can be seen with various methods of treatment which can be tailored to your individual needs and location. While improvement can be seen early, the best results are typically not seen until 3 months after the last treatment. Maintenance treatments may be considered.

Downtime & Maintenance:  Varies and will be discussed at your consultation but for many patients side effects are usually mild.

  • Sun Spots(Lentigines)+ Age Spots

Sun Spots(Lentigines)+ Age Spots Used For: Reducing or removing sun and age spots.

We offer several non-invasive skin revitalization laser treatments for treating redness, brown spots from the sun or larger pigmented spots due to the natural aging process. These treatments are less than an hour, very effective and applied to the face, neck and chest.

Devices:  Spectra, Halo, Limelight, BBL, Fraxel Duo

Results:  Treating pigment within tissue is a gradual process that requires multiple sessions to produce effective, long-lasting results. The number of sessions required depends on the severity of your condition. Our providers will recommend a treatment course that is right for your condition. Typically it takes between 1-3 treatments for best results.

Downtime & Maintenance: The majority of patients report no pain, they only experience a slight warming of their skin and a light prickling feeling during the procedure. Typically, only a topical anesthetic is needed. With little downtime and minimal side effects, you may immediately return to your daily activities.

  • Tattoo Removal

Tattoo Removal Used For:  Reducing or removing tattoos on the body.

Medical lasers use a beam of light to significantly lighten or completely remove your tattoo. When the ink particles absorb the light from the laser, they are broken up into fragments and then absorbed through your body’s immune system.

    Devices:  Spectra Laser

Results: The larger the tattoo, the more sessions it will take to break down the ink particles. Since the ink used in tattooing can vary from tattoo to tattoo, some patients have only partial clearing even after several sessions. The number of treatments required for optimal results depends on the size, location, depth and color of the tattoo. Treatment should be performed 4 - 8 weeks apart in order to allow the body to remove the maximum amount of tattoo pigment after each treatment. Each session usually takes 10 - 30 minutes. You will continue to see lightening of your tattoo after each treatment as your body disposes of more pigment. Most patients will see improvement in their tattoos and results can be quite dramatic.

Downtime & Maintenance:  Right after your treatment, your skin will have a white discoloration, and the area around the tattoo may become reddish and appear swollen. This is normal and will disappear slowly over time. Results take about 5 weeks after each treatment. Immediately after treatment, antibacterial ointment and gauze will be applied to the treated area to minimize infection.
